Qualifikationen

• Experience building and operating data platforms or storage infra.
• Knowledge of Ceph or similar distributed storage and S3/Object Storage.
• Automation, APIs, monitoring and IaC experience.
• Strong advisory skills for staff and students.
• Fluent in German; good English in technical environments.

Aufgaben

• Develop, operate and optimise object storage infrastructure (Ceph) as Product Owner.
• Develop, operate and optimise S3-Glacier-compatible data archiving solution as Product Owner.
• Support operation and monitoring of Block Storage infrastr. (NetApp ONTAP).
• Design and implement self-service offerings for S3-compatible storage.
• Advise staff and students on S3 storage usage and integration.
• Establish best practices for data retention, lifecycle management, automation and monitoring.
• Automate operational processes and ensure stable, scalable, secure operation using IaC.
• Evaluate new technologies and integrate them into the IT landscape.
