Development Engineer (100%)

YOUR CHALLENGES

• Development, design and sustainment of mechatronic vacuum valves and vacuum system technology in an international and dynamic environment.
• Close interaction with customers in the USA and Asia in order to provide customized solutions.
• Managing the internal interfaces to sales, quality-, account- and product managers as well as production.
• Development of inspection and test procedures in close cooperation with labs.
• Creation and maintenance of production drawings, parts lists and all technical documentation.
• Review and optimization of manufacturability in cooperation with the production departments and supply chain.
• Technical support in analyzing and solving quality problems.
• Responsible contact person for complex assemblies and products.
• Collaboration in an interdisciplinary team for successful implementation of challenging projects.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

• Degree in mechanical engineering (FH/ETH) or a comparable qualification.
• Proven track record in the development and design of mechatronic assemblies.
• Several years of professional experience (10+ years) in development, ideally in the vacuum industry.
• Solid communication skills in interacting with customers.
• Good CAD knowledge, preferably Siemens NX.
• User knowledge of ERP and PLM systems.
• Very good ability of English, German is a plus.
• Open to travel (10-15%).
