Job summary

Etel, a world leader in motion control solutions, seeks a proactive procurement professional for international sourcing and supplier management in Môtiers/Neuchâtel. You will negotiate contracts, lead cost-saving initiatives and ensure long-term supplier partnerships.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical or industrial engineering degree, with 5+ years in global negotiation and deep knowledge of machined parts and treatments. English fluency is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in advanced commercial negotiation.
• Experience from international sourcing with contract negotiations and partnerships.
• Knowledge of mechanical machined parts and surface/heat treatments.
• Experience in design to cost and manufacturability.
• Fluent written and spoken English; French is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing process selecting, developing and managing suppliers.
• Critically analyze components to be purchased, highlighting cost drivers and proposing alternatives.
• Define and lead cost saving projects.
• Establish interactions with suppliers to guarantee competitive, long-term relationships.
• Proactively manage milestones and cost constraints of projects.
• Stay updated on state-of-the-art commodities.
• Contribute to project roadmaps (timing, cost) and supplier selection.
• Submit requests for quotations.
• Enter offers data into the MRP system.
• Guarantee delivery times.
• Verify installed capacity.
