Zusammenfassung

Johnson & Johnson in Schaffhausen, Switzerland seeks a Staff Project Engineer to lead sustainability-focused projects. You will design, install, and qualify production equipment and utilities, driving safe and compliant execution across the site.

The role requires a university degree in engineering, 5+ years in project engineering within pharma/chemical, and fluency in German and English. Travel is possible up to 10% of the time.

Qualifikationen

  • University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Chemical).
  • Minimum 5 years of related business experience and a proven track record in Project Engineering in pharma/chemical industry.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills with ability to influence others.
  • Certification in FPX and/or Lean processes is a plus.
  • Fluency in German and English (oral and written).

We are looking for a Staff Project Engineer within our engineering team to lead technical projects in the field of sustainability. As Project Engineer he/she will be contributing to the design, installation and qualification of production equipment and utilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for Engineering project management and project execution to high standards, ensure projects completed on time and on budget
  • Responsible and accountable for the safe execution of job activities in compliance with EHS guidelines, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate site and team practices and procedures
  • Close collaboration with stakeholders on site (Business Units, QA, EHS&S, sustainability, etc) as well as with the global organization (MAM LM Platform, Engineering & Property Services)
  • Initiation of business cases supporting the project funding approval processes
Qualifications:

Education: University degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Chemical discipline

Experience and Skills:

  1. Required: A minimum of 5 years of related business experience and a proven track record in Project Engineering in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry
  2. Excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  3. Familiarity with project management approaches, engineering processes and design thinking methodology
  4. Certification in FPX and/or Lean processes are a plus
  5. Passionate about sustainability and good understanding about environmental challenges and decarbonization and cleantech solutions
  6. Self-driven, well-organized and able to set own targets
  7. Decisiveness, brainpower and aim to take care of various issues and projects simultaneously
  8. Collaboration with others and work well in project teams

Other: Language skills: Fluency (oral and written) in German and English with exceptional communication skills

This role may require occasionally regional travel, as needed (less than 10%)
