Zusammenfassung

CERN in Geneva invites engineers and physicists to join a multidisciplinary team developing the next generation of high-performance SRF cavities. After training, you will develop and optimise advanced surface treatments such as chemical polishing, electrochemical polishing and electroplating.

You will also participate in the design, procurement, commissioning and acceptance of a new SRF surface treatment facility, contributing to overall project success and integration.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with SRF surface treatments used in superconducting cavities.
• Ability to develop and optimise chemical and electrochemical polish processes.
• Familiarity with electroplating and surface treatment equipment.

Aufgaben

• Develop, operate and optimise chemical and electrochemical surface-processing techniques for SRF accelerating cavities and their subassemblies.
• Contribute to design, procurement, commissioning and acceptance of a new surface treatment facility dedicated to SRF components.
