Job summary

BLOX Space in Switzerland is seeking a senior solutions architect to build a new middleware platform from scratch. You will design the core architecture and ensure robust integration with external systems and APIs in a financial-grade environment.

You will lead end-to-end architecture decisions, collaborate with the in-house engineering team, and choose patterns and technologies that scale across institutions in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

This role sits in Zurich or Lugano with flexible arrangements.

The Role

The company is one of the foundational names in Bitcoin infrastructure, founded in 2014 and today a market leader in Bitcoin security and Layer-2 technologies, serving financial institutions with custody, tokenization and treasury products. This is a senior architect role inside the in-house development team, building an own product from scratch: a middle layer where different systems talk to each other, with heavy integration of external systems and APIs at its core. You design the architecture, holding both the latest architectural principles and the hard realities of financial-industry integration.
We're not looking for the perfect CV, we're looking for the right mind, and this is a genuinely hard profile to find: it takes real finance experience, because you don't improvise this kind of system.
The responsibilities of a Solutions Architect here can range from designing the architecture of a new middleware product end to end, to integrating diverse systems and APIs into one coherent layer, to choosing architectural patterns and the right modern tech, to ensuring the platform is scalable and robust enough for financial-grade use, working closely with the in-house engineering team.

Working arrangements

This role is based in Switzerland and can sit in Zurich or Lugano. Candidates should already be based in Switzerland or hold a European visa.Working arrangements are flexible and defined together with the reference team.
