ELCA Group is a leading Swiss IT services provider seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design and deliver Azure-based cloud solutions. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle, from conception to flawless delivery, and advise clients on strategic cloud roadmaps, security, and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, collaboration, and DevOps excellence, with occasional pre-sales support and a focus on cost optimization and performance.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale software solutions, with Azure experience.
• Solid knowledge of integration patterns such as synchronous vs. asynchronous communications, RESTful APIs, messaging, publish-subscribe.
• Experience with hosting on Azure services (serverless, storage, monitoring) and IAM design (Azure AD/Entra ID).
• Experience in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
• Strong DevOps practices: CI/CD, automated testing, code quality analysis.
• Fluent in French or German and English; Azure certification is a plus.

In this role:

• You will work with business and software engineering teams to build innovative cloud solutions on Azure from the ground up.
• You will guide teams through the end-to-end project lifecycle, covering the initial conception, business requirements, software and cloud architecture, implementation, and flawless delivery.
• You will provide technological and architectural consulting to our clients, create strategic roadmaps for migrating to the cloud, and advise on their execution.
• You will support pre-sales on tender responses, proof-of-concept work, and the design of cloud solutions, with an emphasis on security, flexibility, regulatory compliance, cost, and performance.
• You will participate in group-wide thought leadership initiatives to advance our architectural practice and sustain our technical excellence.

Your profile:

• 6+ years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale software solutions, with at least one year of experience specifically with Azure.
• Solid knowledge of integration patterns and best practices such as synchronous vs. asynchronous communications, RESTful APIs, messaging, publish-subscribe.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and related components such as networks, load balancers, web servers, databases, distributed caches etc.
• Experience with Azure services for hosting (including serverless), messaging / eventing, workflows, storage, security, and monitoring. Experience in designing identity and access management with Azure AD/Entra ID and Azure B2C/Entra External ID. Microsoft Azure certification is a plus.
• Experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform, Bicep, Azure CLI, ARM templates or similar tool.
• Strong knowledge of best practices and tooling for DevOps including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality analysis.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, familiarity with agile methods, and fluency in French or German and English.
