As a Software Engineer on the YouTube Viewcount and Aggregations team, you will design, build, evolve, and maintain the critical systems that compute every video's view count, live stream concurrent viewers, and other fundamental metrics. Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the processing of billions of daily events, ensuring efficient and scalable solutions for batch and streaming data pipelines, utilizing key internal infrastructure.
• Develop and implement robust monitoring, alerting, and data validation strategies across our distributed systems to ensure the delivery of consistent, reliable, and high-quality metric data. Build and augment fault-tolerant systems.
• Partner with stakeholders across YouTube, including Shorts, Live, Creator Analytics, Trust and Safety, to understand their needs, gather requirements, and deliver impactful solutions.
• Drive the evolution of how YouTube's key user-facing metrics are computed, adapting to new viewing experiences and products.
