Zusammenfassung

Google Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer III for Infrastructure, Account and Device Integrity in Zürich. This mid-level role emphasizes building scalable infrastructure and contributing to core platform safety.

You will collaborate across teams to design, develop, and improve systems that protect user accounts and devices. You will participate in design reviews, ensure code quality, and contribute to documentation while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of software development experience or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience with high-throughput data pipelines
  • Experience with high-scale Graph-based systems.
  • Experience working in the anti-abuse field
  • Performance analysis and debugging – architecting, developing, benchmarking, profiling, and troubleshooting large scale distributed systems.
  • Passionate about building/improving core infrastructure, and able to navigate solving problems focused on the key outcomes to the business.

The Account and Device Integrity (ADI) team, part of Core User Protections, prevents bad accounts from causing damage to Google users and products. The ADI Data team owns the end-to-end solutions lifecycle—collecting, processing, and transforming massive, high-velocity data streams into the insights that powers the whole of ADI.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
