Job summary

Pilatus Aircraft Ltd in Stans, Switzerland, seeks a Software Engineer for Flight Test to join an international team working on front and backend web services used by the Flight Test Department.

You will develop custom software for automated measurement data and video processing, manage code repositories, and collaborate with IT on Azure integrations while applying English and German language skills.

Responsibilities

• Front and backend development of web-based services for the Flight Test Department (Django, Django-Ninja, Pydantic, Vue.js).
• Update and further develop software for automated measurement data and video processing, archival and management (Apache Airflow, Python, C++, FFmpeg, Parquet).
• Manage code repositories, Python packages and CI/CD (Git, GitHub, uv, Dockhand).
• Interact with IT for identity management, Azure Cloud integrations, storage and development tools (Azure, GitHub Copilot, WSL).
• Support flight test operations by capturing recorded data and videos and monitor automatic processing.
