Proton is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for the Application Edge team to design, build, and operate resilient production services. You will manage on-prem and cloud infrastructure, emphasizing automation, reliability, and privacy-by-design across the stack.

The role requires networking, load-balancing expertise, Kubernetes familiarity, and programming in Python, Rust, or Go. Flexible working hours, stock options, and a strong growth environment are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS traffic management.
• Experience deploying, tuning, and maintaining high-performance load balancing solutions.

• Design, build, and operate resilient application and traffic management systems for Proton’s production services.
• Develop and maintain automation tools to enhance deployment, configuration, and reliability.
• Ensure availability and performance through load balancing, network optimization, and failure recovery strategies.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response for high availability.
• Scale Proton’s hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product and security teams to implement privacy and data protection best practices.
• Document knowledge to foster learning across the team.
