Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions in Oberentfelden seeks a Site AI Leader to partner on AI/ML applications for site operations. You will identify high-impact use cases, guide cross-functional teams, and translate challenges into measurable value hypotheses, accelerating feasibility studies into production.

You will work with data science and engineering colleagues to deploy scalable AI solutions and influence site-level digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML to operations (e.g., data analysis, time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, CV for quality/inspection, optimization).
• Proficiency with Python and data analysis methodologies; experience with data collection, feature engineering, model evaluation, and POC design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with functions to identify high-impact AI/ML opportunities at site level.
• Guide cross-functional teams through AI/ML potentials and limitations to address business challenges.
• Translate business problems into clear statements, success criteria, and value hypotheses.

As Site AI Leader (f/m/d), you serve as the primary AI and machine learning (ML) partner for your site, turning real operational challenges into working solutions. You identify where AI creates the most value, guide teams through proof‑of‑concept (POC) development, and help scale those solutions into production.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the different functions, lean teams and stakeholders to proactively identify and evaluate high‑impact opportunities for AI/ML applications at site level.
• Act as a key AI partner to cross‑functional project teams, guiding them through the potentials and limitations of AI/ML to effectively address specific business challenges.
• Translate business challenges into clear problem statements, measurable success criteria, and value hypothesis.
• Act as a key partner for the site to leverage the AMP 2.0 possibilities.
• Coach the different teams and guide them through the different functionalities to develop own use‑cases.
• Drive the proof‑of concept (POC) development for high‑impact opportunities at site level and in close cooperation with the Power Transmission (PT) Central AI team, to quickly run feasibility tests or adapt existing use‑cases for the site business needs.
• Partner with the PT central AI team and other stakeholders to scale AI POC to production scale deployments and activate the business impact of the AI solution at site level.

What you´ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or relevant experience
• Hands‑on experience applying AI/ML to operations (e.g., data analysis, time‑series forecasting and anomaly detection, computer vision for quality/inspection, optimization, and basic NLP/LLM use cases).
• Proficiency with Python and data analysis methodologies; practical experience with data collection, feature engineering, model evaluation, and experimental POC design.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within diverse, cross‑functional teams at site and PT level
• Good communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and prepare clear, concise documentation
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges
• Good understanding of project management principles, including agile methodologies, to drive projects from concept to completion
