Zusammenfassung

On in Zürich seeks a Staff Software Engineer for the Product Innovation team to design and build cloud-native, event-driven platforms powering our next-generation digital experiences.

You will own full-stack development across TypeScript, Node.js, and React, work with Kafka, and shape infrastructure on AWS/GCP. You’ll lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and ship production-ready software in a fast-paced environment near the Limmat at On Labs in Zürich West.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale, cloud-native applications in production.
• Extensive hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React in a production environment, building both back-end and front-end systems.
• Extensive hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and infra-as-code principles.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka in production, including consuming from event streams.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.

Aufgaben

• Drive the development of cloud-native platforms and interactive web apps using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP/AWS.
• Own architectural context and guide API design and event-driven patterns.
• Write production-quality code across GraphQL APIs, streaming, and front-ends.
• Mentor engineers on full-stack development and cloud-native best practices.
• Influence technical direction from prototype to production with leadership.
