Job summary

Reuters in Zug, Switzerland, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the AI Developer Experience team. You will design, build, and maintain robust back-end services and APIs in Python, deploy on AWS, and manage containerized applications to enable trusted AI products across Thomson Reuters engineering communities.

You will mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews, and help define technical standards while staying current with emerging AI and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong proficiency in Python and related frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of container orchestration (ECS/EKS) with experience running workloads on AWS Fargate.
• Proficient with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced English.
