As a Senior Software Developer, you'll own the technical design and implementation of custom components, setup, and configuration of off-the-shelf components and contribute to making the solution end-to-end successful as part of a dedicated team. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.

About The Team

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for engineering and operations, corporate security, governance, operational resilience, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, the main aim of Cyber Defence Solutions team is to develop, improve, and maintain innovative platforms such as Threat Intelligence, SOAR and its automations and playbooks. We're looking for a highly experienced software developer with interest in cyber defence with a strong background in engineering and technical leadership skills.

In your role, you will...

• Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way every day
• Design and build new cybersecurity orchestration automation via API integrations
• Lead software projects on agentic transformation while remaining hands-on in design and implementation
• Maintain and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the existing automations within the cybersecurity orchestration platform
• Collaborate with threat detection security engineers to develop and implement custom solutions for detecting and responding to emerging cyber threats

• What we need from you
  • Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of cybersecurity automation as an enabler of business performance
  • A track record of successful delivery in API integrations developed with Python
  • Experience engineering agentic solutions
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • The ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders effectively -- from cybersecurity analysts to application owners
  • Experience driving software delivery and mentoring other developers through day-to-day collaboration
  • A high level of integrity, result-oriented approach, and composure under pressure
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Nice-to-have
  • Experience with cloud native technologies and environments
  • Experience working with SOAR capabilities development
  • Knowledge of detection rule development, covering tools (such as SIEM, EDRs) and industry frameworks (such as MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Experience working as a security analyst or incident responder (in a SOC/CSIRT/on-call setup)

Role

For Spain the base salary range for this position is between EUR 60,000 and EUR 100,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.

In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
