Job summary

Roche's 360 Labs Chapter in pRED seeks an experienced lab-based senior scientist to advance the RoCOB biorepository. You will work with cell lines, iPSCs, hESCs and primary cells, ensuring quality, compliance and timely delivery to drug discovery projects.

You’ll lead workflows for culturing, cryopreservation, banking, and QC, liaise with CROs and MTAs, and help expand organoid culture capabilities. A PhD and at least 3 years in a cell culture setting are required; English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field with at least 3 years in a cell culture–intensive lab.
  • Hands-on experience with immortalised cell lines, iPSCs, hESCs, and primary human cells.
  • Experience with organoid culture is a plus.
  • Knowledge of licensing agreements, MTAs and regulatory/ethical compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement workflows for culturing, expanding, cryopreserving, and banking cell lines and stem cells.
  • Coordinate with external CROs and biorepository team for quality control testing and documentation.
  • Train staff in cell culture and biobanking best practices; manage MTAs and licensing compliance.
  • Stay updated on emerging cell culture and biobanking technologies.
  • Share findings with internal stakeholders and at conferences.
