Job summary

ERNI in Zürich is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to contribute to a greenfield project for a MedTech client. You will help define technical standards and support architecture decisions with Rust, collaborating with a C++/C# team and helping them transition.

You bring at least 8 years in software development, 3+ years in Rust, strong C/C++, Embedded Linux, Docker, Azure DevOps, and good English; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of Rust experience.
• Strong expertise in C/C++ and Embedded Linux.
• Experience with real-time requirements in embedded systems.
• Experience with Docker and messaging in distributed systems.
• CI/CD using Azure DevOps (e.g., Cargo pipelines).
• Excellent English skills; German language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a greenfield project for a MedTech client.
• Help define technological standards and support architecture decisions with Rust.
• Collaborate with a C++/C# developer team and support their transition to Rust.
• Help shape the project from the ground up and build a Rust competence center.
