PAVE Space SA in Villeneuve, Switzerland, is seeking a hands-on propulsion test engineer to own end-to-end campaigns for our 45kN engine tests. You will define objectives, instrumentation, data capture, and safety protocols, and work with design, test, and manufacturing teams to close the loop between hot-fire results and hardware improvements.

Based on 2+ years in propulsion or high-performance test engineering, you will plan, execute, and analyze tests (hot-fire, cold-flow, or components),

Competenze

• 2+ years of hands-on propulsion or high-performance test engineering.
• Experience planning or executing hot-fire tests.
• Understanding rocket engine operation (combustion, feed systems, ignition, cooling, pressurization, transient behavior).
• Experience with instrumentation, DAQ, controls, redlines, interlocks, and safety practices.
• Ability to write clear test procedures, test reports, anomaly reports, and technical recommendations.
• Fluent English (our working language).
• Nice to have: liquid rocket engine hot-fire experience; French language skills.

Mansioni

• Plan, prepare, and execute propulsion test campaigns end to end: combustion chambers, injectors, turbomachinery, and integrated engine systems.
• Define test objectives, success criteria, operating points, redlines, abort logic, instrumentation requirements, and countdown procedures.
• Analyze test data (pressure, temperature, flow, vibration, speed, strain), identify anomalies, lead root-cause investigations, and turn results into design recommendations.
• Work with propulsion design, fluidics, controls, test bench, and manufacturing teams to close the loop between hot-fire data and hardware improvements.
• Ensure every test is safe, repeatable, traceable, and useful for engineering decisions.
