Job summary

ELLEON, based in Switzerland, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive the structured execution of complex, cross-functional development projects for leading Swiss industrial companies. Qualifications

• Degree in engineering from ETH/TU/FH/University.
• 5+ years of project management in complex technical/industrial environments.
• Technical background in electronics, electromechanics, mechatronics, embedded systems.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and drive decisions across interdisciplinary teams.
• Experience coordinating stakeholders across engineering, production, quality, procurement, and product management.
• PM certifications (PMP, IPMA Level C or higher) preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
• Fluent in English; German or additional languages a plus.
• Willingness to travel (10-25%).
• Immediate or short-term availability strongly preferred.

Role Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will support leading Swiss industrial companies in the structured execution of complex, cross‑functional development projects.

You will lead complex engineering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. Acting as the central point of coordination, you will manage customers, suppliers, internal stakeholders, and external partners while driving cross‑functional collaboration across engineering (electrical, mechanical, software, and mechatronics), production, quality, procurement, product management, and senior leadership.

You will proactively manage risks, opportunities, changes, and project dependencies, providing clear structure, transparency, and disciplined execution throughout the project lifecycle. With a solid technical understanding, you will facilitate critical discussions, challenge assumptions, and support informed decision‑making while fostering a high‑performing team culture.

Qualifications

• University degree (ETH/TU/FH/University) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or similar)
• 5+ years of project management experience in complex technical or industrial development environments
• Technical background in electronics, electromechanics, mechatronics, embedded systems, or comparable domains
• Ability to lead technical discussions, challenge assumptions, and drive decisions across interdisciplinary teams
• Experience coordinating stakeholders across engineering, production, quality, procurement, and product management
• Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, issue management, and change processes
• Ability to prepare decision‑ready analyses, status reports, and steering documents for senior leadership
• PMP, IPMA Level C or higher, or comparable project management certification is preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Fluent in English; German and additional languages are an asset.
• Willingness to travel (10-25%)
• Immediate or short‑term availability is strongly preferred, as we are looking to fill this position quickly

Preferred Technical Qualifications and Domain Expertise

• Proven experience in Aerospace, Defense, Robotics, Energy, Mobility, and/or Manufacturing environments, with exposure to complex engineering and technology‑driven projects
• Project management in R&D or product development
• Experience with electro‑mechanical, embedded, or system‑level products
• Experience with Planview or Sciforma is a plus
