Job summary

Worldline is seeking a Senior Application Database Administrator with deep Oracle and Exadata expertise to ensure high-performance, highly available database platforms for payments systems. You will drive security, patching, and cloud migration initiatives while partnering with development, SRE, and infrastructure teams.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, Oracle Exadata proficiency, and strong English communication; German is a plus.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in database administration with Oracle and Exadata.
Experience in large-scale, business-critical environments.
Solid understanding of database security and PCI DSS requirements.
Strong English communication; German a plus.

Responsibilities

Administer and optimize Oracle databases on Exadata platforms, including configuration and upgrades.
Proactively monitor health, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and resolve incidents to minimize downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence.
Implement logging, monitoring via Oracle Enterprise Manager, and observability integrations.
Develop automation for provisioning, patching, and day-to-day operations.
Migrate and manage Oracle Exadata workloads on OCI/Exadata Cloud Services.
Collaborate with development, SRE, and infrastructure teams to align design, performance and security with business goals.
Provide technical leadership on complex Oracle and Exadata challenges.
