Zusammenfassung

Chiral is seeking a Senior Optics & Photonics Engineer to own the optical heart of our assembly systems in Zurich. You will lead imaging-based alignment and the end-to-end design of optical and photonic subsystems, including lasers and beam delivery, with collaboration across mechanical, software, and production teams.

Role requires MSc/PhD with years of industrial optics experience, strong skills in imaging, alignment, metrology and laser systems, and proficiency in Zemax/Code V.

Qualifikationen

• Excellent degree (MSc or PhD) in physics, optical engineering, photonics, micro-/precision engineering or a related field with a strong focus on optics and optical technologies.
• Several years of industrial experience developing optical, opto-mechanical or laser-based systems, ideally in semiconductor equipment, microsystems technology, precision instrumentation or laser system engineering.
• Proven track record in imaging-based alignment, overlay or optical metrology for semiconductor substrates or comparable applications.
• Demonstrated ability to take new ideas from concept to working hardware, both theoretically and practically (e.g. during a PhD or in industrial prototyping).

Aufgaben

• Own the optical heart of our assembly systems, focusing on imaging-based alignment and high-precision substrate-to-substrate alignment.
• Design and dimension optical, opto-mechanical and laser-based components from concept to assembly and testing.
• Develop and validate laser beam paths, photonic subsystems and their integration into production tools.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software and production teams and document designs and test results.
