Job summary

Hays Switzerland seeks an experienced Network and Security Engineer to operate, monitor, and advance secure IT infrastructures for diverse clients. You will work with Fortinet and Cisco technologies, plan and implement security projects, and contribute to architecture, integration and migration efforts.

The role requires strong Fortinet and Cisco expertise, German (B1) and English, plus a proactive, independent work style.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a network and security engineer or in a comparable role.
• Extensive knowledge of Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiClient).
• Very good Cisco networking knowledge (routing, switching, Layer 2/3).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, high availability, routing and network architectures.
• Experience with web application security as well as IAM/SSO solutions.
• Practical experience with Ergon Airlock WAF and/or Ergon Airlock IAM.
• Knowledge in vulnerability management, ideally with Tenable.
• Experience with VMware ESXi, VMware Tanzu (Kubernetes), Linux, Splunk or PAM solutions is an advantage.
• Ideally experience in a customer environment or with an IT service provider.
• German at least at level B1 as well as good English skills.
• Independent, solution-oriented working style and enjoyment of complex technical challenges.
