CHUV's Clinic of Neonatology in Lausanne seeks an experienced Consultant Neonatologist to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. The unit is the largest in Switzerland with 40 beds and a high intake, offering opportunities in teaching, research, and clinical care.

The successful candidate will lead in neonatal intensive care, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to education and translational research within a leading academic hospital in the Canton of Vaud.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Pediatrics with subspecialty training in Neonatology and MD or equivalent.
• Demonstrates excellent clinical judgment in neonatal intensive care.
• Adapts easily to changing priorities in a complex healthcare environment.
• Calm and effective under high-pressure situations while making sound clinical decisions.
• Works collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Communicates clearly and empathetically with families and colleagues.
• Committed to family-centered care and lifelong learning, teaching, and mentorship.
• Strong interest in research, innovation, and advancing neonatal care, with proficiency in French (C1-C2).

Responsabilités

• Participate in the management of critically ill and high-risk newborns in the NICU and neonatal wards.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Support family-integrated care and actively involve parents in infant care.
• Contribute to teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement, and innovation projects.
• Take part in consultant on-call rotations and neonatal transport activities as required.
