Zusammenfassung

The Emerald Group is seeking a seasoned underwriter to support growth of a diverse reinsurance portfolio. You will work directly with the Regional Manager MENA to help design market strategy and execute UW planning, focusing on P&C treaty underwriting and client relationships across the MENA region.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Insurance, Economics, Business, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences, Law or Natural Sciences, or a comparable post-graduate degree in Insurance/Reinsurance (ACII or equivalent).
• At least five years of reinsurance underwriting experience (non-life treaty or facultative UW) in the MENA region.
• Familiarity with pricing and/or NatCat models.
• Fluency in English.
• Fluency in either Arabic or French, in writing and speaking.

Aufgaben

• Support the Regional Manager in designing the overall market and client/Line of Business strategy within the UW Planning process and its execution.
• Underwrite treaty P&C business in the MENA region.
• Assess existing portfolio and opportunities while identifying deal risks and drivers.
• Visit markets and clients to maintain and develop relationships with existing and new clients.
• Review and approve claims with Claims Department per Claims Guidelines.
