Johnson Electric International AG Operation seeks a Control Strategy Developer to advance Model-Based Design control strategies for automotive thermal management systems. You will develop MATLAB/Simulink models, design compressor modulation, optimize mode switching, and enable energy management for battery thermal conditioning.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 7 years of automotive control experience; a PhD is advantageous.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; PhD is considered a strong advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in automotive control systems, thermal management, or embedded software development; OEM/Tier1 experience desirable.
• Strong expertise in Model-Based Design using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow.
• Experience with MIL, SIL, and HIL validation methodologies and toolchains (e.g., dSPACE, ETAS, NI).
• Knowledge of embedded systems, CAN, and vehicle software integration.
• Familiarity with EV architectures and battery thermal management is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Develop MATLAB/Simulink control system models and algorithms.
• Design compressor capacity modulation strategy for optimal cooling/heating.
• Optimize mode switching logic (cooling, heating, defrost).
• Energy management for battery thermal conditioning.
• Model-in-the-loop (MIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation.
• Integrate control algorithms with vehicle embedded software (CAN communication).
• Collaborate with test engineers for SIL/HIL validation.
• Evaluate AI/ML approaches for intelligent thermal management (future roadmap).
