Main tasks:
- Lead and continuously develop master data governance across multiple systems of record within a federated operating model
- Define, maintain and evolve master data governance frameworks with a strong focus on data quality, consistency and compliance
- Ensure master data processes adhere to internal controls, regulatory requirements and audit standards
- Design, implement and optimize master data workflows in close collaboration with business stakeholders and MDM operations
- Act as a key partner to functional data stewards to align governance standards and operating practices
- Drive adoption of master data governance through structured change and enablement initiatives
- Monitor and manage master data quality, completeness and timeliness across the data ecosystem
- Establish transparent reporting on policy compliance, deviations and remediation measures
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase master data maturity and effectiveness
- Contribute to the broader data governance strategy and ensure master data governance is fully integrated
- Collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams including internal and external partners
Your qualifications:
- Degree in Information Management, Business Administration or a comparable discipline
- Proven experience in master data management, data governance or related roles
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies and control mechanisms
- Ability to translate governance principles into practical, scalable solutions
- Strong analytical skills combined with a structured and solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple levels
- Experience working in complex, matrixed or global environments
- Strategic thinking with the ability to drive change and influence diverse stakeholder groups
- Familiarity with regulated industries and compliance-driven environments
- Fluency in English and German
