Union Bancaire Privée is seeking an experienced backend engineer to own the Tariffication application, mentor knowledge transfer, and deliver robust Java-based microservices and REST/SOAP APIs. You will work with Spring 4/5 and Spring Boot 2.x/3.x, integrate with Oracle and MS SQL Server, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while ensuring secure coding practices.

The role requires strong collaboration with platform, QA, security, and business teams, and fluency in English (French helpful).

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Java 8 or later; Java 17 or latest LTS is the target.
• Hands-on experience with Spring 4/5 and Spring Boot 2.x/3.x.
• Experience designing and maintaining REST and SOAP APIs, HTTP layers, and OpenAPI specifications.
• Exposure to Vue.js or Angular for operational interfaces.
• Experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server, including JPA/Hibernate, SQL, Liquibase, and basic PL/SQL.
• CI/CD and DevOps with Git, Maven, YAML-based pipelines, and test automation.
• Knowledge of Kerberos and OAuth2/OIDC and secure coding practices.
• JS unit tests with JUnit 5, Mockito; Cucumber for BDD/ATDD; Jest for frontend tests.
• Ability to document software architecture clearly.
• Fluent English; French useful.
• Organized, reliable in production support.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of the Tariffication application and lead knowledge transfer.
• Design, implement, and operate backend services and APIs using Java 17/11/8, Spring 4/5, Spring Boot 2.x/3.x.
• Build and maintain REST and SOAP APIs; manage HTTP layers using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Develop front-end/admin consoles in Vue.js or Angular when relevant.
• Integrate with Oracle and SQL Server using JPA/Hibernate; manage schema changes with Liquibase.
• Implement YAML-based CI/CD pipelines with Maven and Git and set up quality gates and tests.
• Apply secure authentication patterns including Kerberos and OAuth2/OIDC; follow AppSec practices.
• Contribute to test strategy with JUnit 5, Mockito, Cucumber; Jest for front-end tests.
• Support production operations: troubleshoot incidents, analyze performance, drive reliability.
• Document APIs, architecture decisions, runbooks, and procedures; track work in JIRA.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business goals and standards.
