Job summary

coni + partner ag is seeking a Senior IT Auditor for Bank operations in Basel. The role sits within Group Internal Audit, providing assurance to the Board and Audit Committee and ensuring audits are planned and executed on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will assess governance, risk management, and internal control across global business divisions, discuss weaknesses with auditees, and prepare thorough audit reports while monitoring risk developments and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor in Business Administration or Information Technology.
• CPA, CIA or CISA certification.
• Professional experience in Audit, Risk Management, Operations, IT or similar in financial industry.
• Knowledge of front-to-back banking processes and operations.
• German (C1/C2) and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in Group Internal Audit to plan and execute audit assignments.
• Provide assurance to the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee.
• Assess governance, risk management, and internal control across divisions.
• Discuss weaknesses and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare audit reports and monitor remediation progress.
• Stay informed about operations/IT developments and regulatory changes.
• Report directly to the Chairman of the Board and Audit Committee.
• Engage stakeholders and build trust-based relationships.

Senior IT Auditor Bank

Your Tasks:

• Working in the Group Internal Audit
• Providing assurance to the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee
• Planning and executing audit assignments on time, within budget and in line with audit standards and methodology
• Assessing processes as well as governance, risk management and internal control environment within all Business divisions globally
• Discussing the identified weaknesses and shortcomings with the auditees and recommending feasible and value-adding actions that support the effective remediation of the risk
• Preparing audit reports and follow-up on implemented audit issue remediation
• Monitoring risk profile and developments within Operations (and IT) areas and contributing to the annual detailed risk assessment
• Keeping actively informed about developments in the Operations and IT area (e.g. Robotics) and regulatory changes
• Working independently and report directly to the Chairman of the Board and the Audit Committee
• Engaging proactively with stakeholders, building relationships based on transparency and trust
• Supporting special tasks

Your Profile:

• Master or Bachelor in Business Administration or Information Technology
• CPA, CIA or CISA
• Professional experience in Audit, Risk Management, Operations, IT or similar areas within the financial industry
• Knowledge of front-to-back banking processes and in particular operations processes
• Curious and service-oriented personality
• Dedicated to deliver work in high quality
• Flexible and committed team player
• Ability to work independently in the execution of audit assignments
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications
• German (C1/2) as well as English
