Redstone Commodity Search in Geneva seeks a Senior Freight Derivatives Trader to join its Geneva-based team. You will trade freight and bunker derivatives, manage market risk and support optimization of physical exposures through analysis and strategic execution.

The role requires a proven track record trading FFAs, knowledge of dry bulk markets, and strong analytical and communication skills to perform in a fast-paced trading environment.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience trading freight derivatives (FFAs) with a successful track record of generating trading P&L.
• Strong understanding of dry bulk shipping markets, freight fundamentals, vessel economics and freight risk management.
• Experience trading or managing exposure in fuel oil, VLSFO and/or gasoil derivative markets.
• Knowledge of physical freight trading, vessel chartering and freight execution is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Manage and develop a proprietary trading book across FFAs, voyage FFAs and related freight derivative products.
• Trade paper bunker products including fuel oil, VLSFO and gasoil derivatives, identifying and executing profitable market opportunities.
• Develop and implement directional, spread, relative value and hedging strategies across freight and bunker markets.
• Work closely with commercial teams to analyse physical freight exposures, vessel positioning and market opportunities.
• Monitor market fundamentals, manage portfolio risk and provide freight market insight to support commercial decision-making.

Redstone Commodity Search are working with an established commodity trading company seeking a Senior Freight Derivatives Trader to join its Geneva-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for trading freight and bunker derivatives, managing freight market risk and supporting the optimisation of physical freight exposures through market analysis and strategic execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a proprietary trading book across FFAs, voyage FFAs and related freight derivative products.
• Trade paper bunker products including fuel oil, VLSFO and gasoil derivatives, identifying and executing profitable market opportunities.
• Develop and implement directional, spread, relative value and hedging strategies across freight and bunker markets.
