Thoratec Switzerland GmbH, part of Abbott Laboratories, is seeking a (Senior) Electrical Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering – Equipment Engineering team in Zurich. You will build and qualify Electrical Test Equipment to assure production continuity and design new equipment when priorities allow.

You will own equipment availability, repair, and lifecycle support; participate in CAPA activities; and bring strong background in electrical circuit design, troubleshooting, and software

Qualifikationen

• Background in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years experience as an electrical engineer preferable.
• Good knowledge of electrical circuit design.
• Experience in trouble-shooting electrical equipment.
• Software knowhow, especially C# and Python; OpenHTF is a plus.
• Experience with debugging Software.
• Experience with EIQ/EOQ & NPS validation is an asset.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); German would be an asset.

(Senior) Electrical Engineer

The open position is within the Manufacturing Engineering – Equipment Engineering team. The Equipment Engineering team works together with Maintenance Engineering and First Level Support teams to assure availability and compliance of our Test Equipment.

In this function you will:

• Be responsible to build and qualify Electrical Test Equipment to assure production continuity
• Depending on priorities, responsible to design new Electrical Test Equipment, conducting Equipment/Non-product Software and Test Method validation activities
• Take ownership for equipment availability and repair
• Support the whole equipment lifecycle
• Support equipment related corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities

Desired Profile:

• Background: Electrical Engineering
• 3+ experience as an electrical engineer preferable
• Good knowledge of electrical circuit design
• Experience in trouble‑shooting electrical equipment
• Software knowhow, at best C# and Python, experience with OpenHTF is a plus
• Experience with debugging Software
