Zusammenfassung

Job-Room in Zürich sucht eine/n erfahrene/n DevOps/Platform Engineer zur Gestaltung robuster Delivery-Pipelines, Skalierung der Infrastruktur und zur Förderung von Kubernetes-basierten Systemen. Hybrid-Arbeitsmodell in der Schweiz wird geboten.

Sie arbeiten eng mit Entwicklern zusammen, sichern Betrieb, Observability und Secrets-Management, und unterstützen On-Call-Experten mit bewährten SRE-Praktiken.

Qualifikationen

• Ausgereifte Produktionserfahrung mit Containern, Kubernetes und GitOps Delivery.
• Secrets-Management als Code (SOPS, Vault o.ä.) mit dem Prinzip der geringsten Privilegien.
• Erfahrung im Betrieb zustandsbehafteter Workloads: relationale Datenbanken, Caches und Messaging Queues.
• Praktische Sicht auf Observability – Entwickler beim Debuggen unterstützen.
• Robuste Skripting-Fähigkeiten; Fließend in Python, TypeScript oder JVM-Sprachen.
• Ungefähr vier Jahre hands-on Erfahrung im On-Call-Betrieb.
• Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse.

Aufgaben

• Sie arbeiten mit Entwicklern zusammen, um zuverlässige, skalierbare Delivery-Pipelines mit automatisierten Releases zu erstellen.
• Sie coachen Frontend- und Backend-Ingenieure, damit sie ihren Code in der Produktion überwachen können.
• Sie lenken Architektur-Diskussionen, wägen Trade-offs sowie Kosten- und Sicherheitsimplikationen ab.
• Sie verwalten, überwachen und skalieren die Infrastruktur – von den Clustern bis zur zugrundeliegenden Hardware.
• Sie halten eine lückenlose Dokumentation von Deployments, Prozessen und Tools.
• Sie sorgen für Zuverlässigkeit, Verfügbarkeit und Performance und teilen On-Call-Dienste im Team.

Location: Zurich (hybrid) Workload: Full-time Start: By agreement

Your tasks:

You work with developers to build reliable, scalable delivery pipelines with continuous automated releases. You coach frontend and backend engineers so they can monitor their own code in production. You steer architecture discussions, weighing trade-offs as well as cost and security implications. You manage, monitor and scale the infrastructure - from the clusters the services run on to the hardware behind the models. You maintain thorough documentation of deployments, processes and tooling. You ensure reliability, availability and performance, and you share on-call duty with the team.

Your profile:

Solid production experience with containers, Kubernetes and GitOps-style delivery Managing secrets and access as code (SOPS, Vault or similar) with an instinct for least privilege Experience operating stateful workloads: relational databases, caches and message queues carrying real customer data A practical view of observability - able to help an engineer debug their own service Robust scripting skills plus fluency in Python, TypeScript or a JVM language Around four years of hands-on experience running systems you were on call for Fluent in German and English

Nice to have:

• GPU workloads, model serving performance, regulated environments (data residency, audits, ISO 27001)
