Zusammenfassung

Papers is seeking a DevOps/SRE to own and improve our Linux-based self-hosted infrastructure. You will manage servers, CI/CD with GitLab CI, Docker deployments, and Ansible automation while maintaining security and incident response. Collaboration with backend engineers and on-call rotations are part of the role.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in DevOps/SRE, strong Linux administration, scripting skills, and experience with observability stacks. English proficiency required.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps/SRE/infrastructure experience.
• Proficient with Linux/Ubuntu system administration on self-managed servers.
• Comfortable with Docker/Docker Compose and GitLab CI workflows.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Ansible preferred).
• Strong Nginx, TLS, networking, and shell scripting basics.
• Experience owning a metrics/alerting stack and incident response.
• Solid security fundamentals: MFA/SSO, least privilege, patching.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Self-driven, organized, and able to work independently.

Aufgaben

• Manage and improve self-hosted Linux infrastructure on dedicated servers.
• Maintain OS/security updates and self-hosted applications.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI.
• Set up and optimize Docker and Docker Compose deployments.
• Automate provisioning with Ansible and enforce backups/DR.
• Operate Telegraf/InfluxDB/Grafana stack and Graylog for monitoring.
• Administer Microsoft 365 / Entra ID for identity and security.
• Contribute to security posture: host hardening, firewalls, secrets mgmt.
• Participate in on-call rotations and collaborate with backend engineers.
