Job summary

VAT Group in Haag, Switzerland seeks a Development Engineer focused on Advanced Process Control. You will develop and validate model-based and data-driven control algorithms for sub-2 nm semiconductor processes, deploying on embedded platforms and validating with experiments.

You will work in a cross-functional R&D team, design experiments, and contribute to the validation of innovative gas delivery and pressure control technologies. MSc/PhD in related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical/electrical/controls.
• Experience developing advanced control algorithms for physical/industrial systems.
• Proficiency in MATLAB Simulink and embedded deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel control algorithms for fast, nonlinear processes using model-based, optimization-based and data-driven methods.
• Create and validate physics-based and data-driven dynamic system models.
• Design, simulate in MATLAB/Simulink, and deploy on embedded hardware; verify on experimental setups.
• Plan and document experiments (DoE) and analyze results systematically.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams; provide on-site support when needed.
