Job summary

AWS EMEA SARL (Switzerland Branch) is seeking a solutions architect to help customers refactor workloads and design cloud-based data solutions. You will partner with AWS specialists, drive go-to-market strategies, and ensure success of complex engagements in database, analytics, and ML workloads.

The role emphasizes pre-sales engagement, building cloud-based database architectures, and removing blockers to deliver scalable, cost-effective solutions for large organizations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Oracle DB or SQL Server/MySQL.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a solutions architect to work with our customers and other AWS teams to help customers refactor existing workloads and design new cloud-based data solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in Oracle DB, or experience in SQL Server/MySQL and experience in any Bigdata architecture
• Experience in Database Administration and strong troubleshooting skills (tuning and optimization, deadlocks, schema design) with any Relational Database Engines (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLServer)
• Working knowledge of modern software development practices such as agile methodologies and DevOps.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
• Knowledge of non-relational databases such as mongodb, couchdb, redis
