Job summary

EPAM Systems in Zurich, Switzerland is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our hybrid team. You will own end-to-end data solutions within the Reporting Analytics Hub (RAH), designing scalable data models and building Azure-based pipelines using PySpark while delivering reporting via Power BI.

You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to refine requirements and implement evolving business needs, working in a modern cloud environment with strong emphasis on data quality and value

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer in enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong expertise in Azure Data Platform and PySpark development.
• Solid experience with data modelling and scalable reporting architectures.
• Experience with streaming and event-driven data processing (e.g. Kafka).
• Strong understanding of invoicing/billing processes and related data structures.
• Experience with Power BI reporting and analytics solutions.
• Ability to assume ownership and drive delivery across the full solution lifecycle.
• Very good command of German and English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of reporting, analytics and invoicing capabilities within the Reporting Analytics Hub (RAH).
• Design and implement scalable enterprise data models for reporting and invoicing use cases.
• Develop and maintain Azure-based data solutions using PySpark and cloud-native services.
• Integrate and process data delivered through sFTP, Kafka and streaming technologies.
• Enable invoicing processes by providing invoicing volumes and interfaces towards SAP.
• Deliver reporting and analytics solutions for internal and external users through Power BI.
• Collaborate closely with Requirements Engineers and business stakeholders to refine and implement evolving business requirements.
