Zusammenfassung

SICPA is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer in Prilly, Switzerland, to build and operate cloud-native platforms and core infrastructure services. You will drive platform automation, design CI/CD pipelines, and implement scalable IaC across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will collaborate with software, DevOps, and product teams, using Kubernetes, Terraform, and CloudFormation while maintaining strong Linux fundamentals and distributed systems expertise.

Qualifikationen

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer, Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent role.
• Strong experience deploying and operating Kubernetes-based container platforms.
• Experience with major public cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, or equivalent.
• Strong programming and automation skills in Python and shell scripting.
• Ability to understand, troubleshoot and collaborate on solutions in Java, Kotlin, Go, Groovy or similar.
• Experience building and maintaining container images and Kubernetes ecosystem components, including Helm and Operators.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD platforms, workflows, and deployment automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management technologies like Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Experience operating cloud-native data and messaging platforms such as Kafka, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

• Develop platform services and automation tooling using modern software practices.
• Apply testing, code reviews, and documentation to improve quality.
• Collaborate with software, DevOps, architects, and product teams to improve platform adoption and developer experience.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and platform planning.
• Support deployment and operation of cloud-native platforms, data services, and infrastructure components.
