Cryptonow is hiring a senior C#.NET developer to architect and govern the core business logic behind our brokerage and voucher card platforms. You will translate complex regulatory and financial requirements into robust, scalable C#.NET systems, using AI as a tool, not a substitute for expertise.

You will own design decisions, mentor peers, and collaborate across product, compliance, and engineering to ensure EU regulatory alignment while delivering high-quality software in a hybrid work setting

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional C#.NET development experience (ASP.NET Core, .NET 9/10, Blazor).
• Proven track record designing and maintaining complex, business-critical systems.
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and API design (REST).
• Experience with fintech, payments, or crypto/blockchain domains is a plus.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants daily and knowing when to override them.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.

With offices in Austria and Switzerland — right in the heart of "Crypto Valley" — we are looking for an experienced C#.NET Developer to help build and scale the systems powering our brokerage and voucher card platforms.

Role Overview

We build software with AI as a core part of our workflow — but our business logic (regulatory compliance, financial transactions, multi-partner integrations, real-time crypto settlement) is genuinely complex. That's exactly why this role isn't about typing code. We need someone who can direct AI tools effectively, but who has the seniority to catch what they get wrong, question the "obvious" solution, and design systems that actually hold up under regulatory and financial scrutiny.

You’ll own the architecture and business logic behind critical parts of our platform, working closely with product, compliance, and other engineers to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into robust, maintainable C#.NET systems — using AI as a force multiplier, not a substitute for judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain C#.NET applications and services powering our brokerage platform and voucher card systems.
• Translate complex business and regulatory requirements (MiCAR, financial transaction flows, partner integrations) into clear technical designs.
• Use AI coding tools to accelerate development — while owning code quality, architecture decisions, and edge-case handling that AI tools routinely miss.
• Review and critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and business-logic accuracy before it ships.
• Architect and maintain integrations with external partners, payment providers, and blockchain/crypto infrastructure.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, security risks, and scalability issues, and design solutions proactively.
• Mentor other developers on both technical best practices and effective, responsible use of AI tooling.
• Collaborate closely with product owners and compliance stakeholders to ensure systems meet EU regulatory standards.
• Write and maintain clean, well-documented, testable code and champion good engineering practices across the team.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in C#.NET development ( ASP.NET Core, .NET 9/10, Blazor), with a strong grasp of OOP and clean architecture principles.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining complex, business-critical systems — not just CRUD apps.
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar), API design (REST), and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants daily, with the seniority to know when to trust them and when to override them.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to deeply understand business logic, not just implement tickets.
• Experience with fintech, payments, or crypto/blockchain systems is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with security best practices and regulatory considerations in financial software is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English required; German is a plus.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Vienna or Baar; open to occasional travel between offices.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning decisions in a fast-moving environment.
