Red Commerce Schweiz GmbH is seeking a Senior Backend ML Engineer to turn ML prototypes into scalable, production-ready services. This fully remote EU role focuses on backend APIs, Kubernetes-backed infrastructure, and collaboration with Applied Scientists.

You will own deployment, reliability, and monitoring, with responsibilities across data pipelines and production-grade ML capabilities. Strong JVM languages and AWS experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proficient in backend development with JVM languages.
• Strong experience in building production-grade APIs and services.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker and Infrastructure as Code.
• Extensive AWS experience including IAM and S3, and CI/CD.
• Proven ability to debug and operate live production systems.

Responsabilités

• Productionise ML prototypes into scalable services on Kubernetes.
• Develop and operate APIs for real-time and batch ML inference.
• Manage GPU inference workloads, autoscaling, and performance.
• Own service reliability, latency, load testing, and incidents.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists to productionise new ML capabilities.
