Proton AG in Geneva is looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join our privacy‑first product teams. You’ll build Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, collaborating across product, design and engineering to deliver high‑quality experiences at scale.

You will own features end‑to‑end, drive architecture decisions, and mentor engineers while focusing on performance, memory management and offline capabilities for Proton Mail, Calendar and related services.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive experience building Android apps with Kotlin and delivering high-quality experiences.
• Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose and modern Android practices.
• Experience owning features end-to-end from design to delivery and iteration.
• Ability to build scalable, testable mobile architectures and collaborate across teams.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical bar within the team.
• Understanding of performance, concurrency and mobile memory management.
• Familiarity with privacy, security, offline-first architectures.

Aufgaben

• Own and ship Android features end-to-end, collaborating with product, design and other engineering teams.
• Design and implement high-quality, maintainable mobile architectures and code with emphasis on performance.
• Mentor teammates and raise the overall technical bar within the Android squad.
• Contribute to privacy-focused, secure and offline-capable experiences for Proton services.
