2. Your Role with us
VF Corporation is looking for an exceptional Senior Analyst Record to Report to join our team based in Stabio, Switzerland.
As an RTR Senior Analyst, your responsibility lies in ensuring the accuracy and timely execution of activities assigned within the RTR team. This involves verifying data accuracy and ensuring compliance with US GAAP accounting standards.
The role supports period‑end close, general ledger accuracy, balance sheet integrity and financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and statutory accounting requirements, working closely with the RTR Manager, internal stakeholders and outsourced service providers.
Responsibilities
- Perform month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities in line with the defined close calendar.
- Prepare and support review of journal entries. If entries are posted by the outsource provider, ensure that they are compliant with the required operational instructions.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of record‑to‑report transactions to maintain strong customer satisfaction and meet agreed service levels. Review the monthly reconciliations prepared by the outsource provider.
- Support the reporting team in reviewing variances period‑over‑period before the submission of the monthly reporting package with reference to the areas of your responsibility.
- Identify risks associated with the execution of assigned tasks within the business process and mitigate them as required.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external audit teams, including SOX‑related reviews and deep‑dive requests, providing supporting documentation and responding to queries.
- Work closely with the Statutory team to ensure alignment between US GAAP and local statutory accounting.
Skills for Success
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in accounting.
- Professional Experience: 2‑4 years of experience in Record‑to‑Report processes (GL accounting) or public accounting. International experience is preferred. Core skills include:
- Financial statement preparation.
- Accounting fundamentals – US GAAP (especially) and local GAAP.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Teamwork and Diversity: Enthusiastic about working and socializing in a diverse, inclusive, and multicultural environment.
