Job summary

BBVA, a global banking group, seeks an Information & Blockchain Security Specialist to join the Security & Technology team in Zürich. The role combines information security with oversight of crypto custody services, interfacing with cloud platforms and external providers in a regulated financial environment.

You will work on securing custody environments, assess risks, and coordinate security controls during the service lifecycle. A strong background in Azure and cryptography is valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or technology risk.
• Understanding of security controls in cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of protection, encryption, cryptography, and identity/access controls.
• Foundation in blockchain concepts and how decentralized networks operate.
• Experience with third-party technology providers, oversight, risk assessment or service management.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, operation and improvement of information security controls in cloud environments.
• Contribute to security oversight of Microsoft Azure services and architectures.
• Support information protection, data security and cryptographic controls.
• Assess security requirements and risks for new solutions and changes.
• Participate in security reviews and remediation actions.
• Coordinate with technology, security and business stakeholders across the service lifecycle.
• Oversee security risks with external providers and crypto custody services.
• Review changes to blockchain protocols with a focus on Bitcoin and Ethereum.
