Job summary

Data Edge is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to support an international manufacturing enterprise in a highly customized SAP landscape, with a primary focus on SAP Logistics, SD and Order-to-Cash (O2C). This is a flexible, highly remote 3-month contract offering a 60–80% workload.

The successful candidate will design and optimize ABAP solutions, develop interfaces and Adobe Forms, and collaborate with functional teams to deliver robust enhancements across SAP ERP/S/4HANA environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive ABAP OO development experience.
• Proven SAP SD and Order-to-Cash implementation expertise.
• Hands-on with SAP Logistics, ABAP forms, IDocs and RFCs.
• Experience with CDS views and SAP S/4HANA/ERP environments.
• Fluent English; German skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Workload: 60% – 80%

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer to support an international manufacturing enterprise. Working within a complex and highly customized SAP landscape, you will drive development and integration support with a primary focus on SAP Logistics, specifically Sales and Distribution (SD) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.

This is a flexible, highly remote contract opportunity with a 60–80% workload commitment.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Core ABAP Development: Design, build, and optimize custom ABAP solutions using ABAP Object-Oriented (OO) programming within SAP ERP and S/4HANA environments.
• Logistics & O2C Support: Deliver technical enhancements and custom developments aligned with business processes in SAP SD and Order-to-Cash.
• Forms & Interfaces: Create and maintain Adobe Forms and handle interface integrations using IDoc and RFC technologies.
• Modern SAP Enhancements: Utilize Core Data Services (CDS) views and assist with technical integrations across the SAP ecosystem.
• Collaborative Technical Delivery: Partner closely with functional consultants and technical teams to deliver robust solutions tailored to a customized system environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP and ABAP Object-Oriented (OO) development.
• Functional Focus: Proven development experience in SAP Logistics, with specialized expertise in SAP SD and Order-to-Cash (O2C).
• Integration & Output: Hands‑on experience with Adobe Forms, IDocs, RFCs; and Core Data Services (CDS).
• System Knowledge: Solid working experience in SAP ERP and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Languages: Fluent spoken and written English and German.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Variant Configuration (LO-VC).
• Familiarity with modern SAP developer frameworks: OData, RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), and SAP Fiori.
• Professional working knowledge of German.
