Zusammenfassung

CERN is seeking a Safety Specialist to join the CMS Experiment's Safety Team. You will familiarise yourself with CERN and CMS safety systems, alarms, hazard identification and risk assessment processes, and CMS infrastructure and computing tools.

In this role you will support the LEXGLIMOS leader, contribute to risk assessments, review safety procedures, manage fire safety aspects for upgrade projects, and assist with incident analyses and emergency preparedness across the CMS scope.

Qualifikationen

• Basic experience in engineering (safety, industrial, mechanical, or related).
• Exposure to laboratory, workshop, or technical environments.
• Initial experience in risk assessment, hazard identification, fire safety, and related safety measures.
• Familiarity with data handling, reporting, and technical documentation.
• Experience in multidisciplinary or team-based projects.

Aufgaben

• Support LEXGLIMOS leadership and implement CERN safety objectives.
• Draft/review risk assessments and procedures for CMS projects.
• Assess fire safety of materials for CMS upgrade.
• Analyze incidents and follow up safety actions.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and evacuations.
