Job summary

Flexion Robotics is hiring a Research Scientist/Engineer in Zürich, Switzerland. You will advance the frontiers of generalizable manipulation using video demonstrations and wearable capture data to scale dexterous capabilities and deploy robust real-world systems.

You will own end-to-end development from capture device design to dataset curation and architectural modeling, driving large-scale experiments and delivering practical robotic intelligence that expands the capabilities of advanced

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with vision, multimodal models, video data, and human data.
• Experience with multimodal generative modeling, training, and inference.
• Experience with reinforcement learning and imitation learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable data capture pipelines for integrating human video demonstrations and wearable data into foundation models and RL workflows.
• Build automated pipelines to reconstruct 3D objects and environments from capture data for simulation.
• Create simulation environments with reconstructed assets and optimize dexterous manipulation policies with RL and tactile feedback.
• Design, train, and evaluate robot foundation models translating multi-sensor data into robust control.
• Bridge human embodiment to high-DOF robotic hands and humanoid platforms.
