Qualifikationen

• At least five years of experience in risk management, auditing, or risk and controls roles.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss banking regulation and private banking activities.
• Solid understanding of financial instruments and investment products.
• Experience across investment, operational, credit, or financial risk areas.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
• Fluent in French and English; German is a plus.
• Residency in Switzerland or eligible to work there.

Agius & Partners SA is recruiting an experienced Risk Manager on behalf of an established Swiss private banking institution in Geneva.

This is a broad second-line risk position covering investment, operational and financial risks. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and front-office teams while providing independent oversight across the organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor investment risks, including suitability, appropriateness, concentration limits and portfolio restrictions.
• Review investment products and related documentation, including funds, structured products, certificates and insurance-based solutions.
• Assess operational risks through control reviews, thematic assessments and control-effectiveness testing.
• Contribute to oversight involving information security, transaction monitoring and fraud risk.
• Monitor financial risks relating to liquidity, interest rates, treasury activities, Lombard lending, guarantees, derivatives and margin requirements.
• Follow developments in Swiss banking regulation and translate them into practical risk controls.
• Prepare clear risk reports and management information for senior stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits and follow up on agreed actions.
• Provide guidance and training to first-line teams on risk-related matters.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• At least five years of relevant experience as a Risk Manager, Auditor or risk and controls specialist within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Swiss banking regulation and private banking activities.
• Sound knowledge of financial instruments, investment products and banking operations.
• Experience across several risk areas, ideally including investment, operational, credit or financial risk.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Professional fluency in French and English.
• German would be an advantage.
• Currently resident in Switzerland or possessing a clear ability to work in Switzerland.
