Zusammenfassung

Sika is establishing a new Group Risk Management team to strengthen oversight of risks, internal controls, and insurance protection across the organization. We are looking for an experienced Risk & Insurance Manager with a strong background in managing global insurance programmes in a multinational manufacturing environment, including policy negotiations, claims handling, and insurance cost allocation.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics or administration.
• Minimum 5-7 years of proven insurance management experience across all lines of business.
• Proven experience in multinational manufacturing environment.
• Broad understanding of insurance (incl. captives, alternative risk transfer).
• Knowledge of Swiss insurance regulations.
• Business fluent in German and English (spoken and written).

Aufgaben

• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks through insurance strategies and policy reviews.
• Manage the Group’s insurance programmes (liability, property & business interruption, cyber, D&O, transport) including captives with insurers, Group companies and brokers.
• Optimize insurance management processes, including value collection, claims handling, insurance cost allocation.
• Review and negotiate insurance policies to align with organisational needs and manage renewals.
• Contribute to Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control System development.
• Provide insurance and risk management guidance to Group companies.
• Collaborate with Group Risk Management, Risk Engineering, local insurance responsibles, Finance teams, and external insurers/brokers.

Job Description

Sika is establishing a new Group Risk Management team to strengthen oversight of risks, internal controls, and insurance protection across the organization. We are looking for an experienced Risk & Insurance Manager with a strong background in managing global insurance programmes in a multinational manufacturing environment, including policy negotiations, claims handling, and insurance cost allocation. Knowledge of Swiss insurance regulations and a broad understanding of insurance solutions, including captives and alternative risk transfer, are essential for this role.

Main responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks through insurance strategies and policy reviews
• Manage the Group’s insurance programmes (liability, property&busines interuption, cyber, D&O, transport) including the captive with insurers, Group companies and brokers
• Optimize insurance management processes, including value collection, claims handling, insurance cost allocation
• Review and negotiate insurance policies to align with organisational needs, manage the insurance renewal process
• Participate in the operation and development of Sika’s Enterprise Risk Management and Sika’s Internal Control System
• Provide insurance and risk management advice, guidance and support to Group companies
• Work with various stakeholders globally: Group Risk Management Team (Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Controls, Sustainability Risk Management), Risk Engineering Team, Local insurance responsibles, local Finance Managers and Corporate Finance colleagues as well as external Insurance companies and insurance brokers (to ensure optimum coverage)

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics or administration
• Minimum 5-7 years of proven insurance management experience, including managing Group’s insurance programmes across all lines of business, negotiating insurance policies, claims handling, insurance cost allocation etc.
• Proven experience in multinational manufacturing environment
• Broad understanding of insurance (incl. captives, alternative risk transfer)
• Knowledge of Swiss insurance regulations
• Business fluent in German and English (spoken and written), other languages an asset
• Ability to work independently
• Strong analytical skills, precise working style
• Solid user knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Focus on understanding business requirements
• Good communication and presentation skills

Preferred

• Additional training in insurance management
• Previous exposure to internal controls, risk management and audit
