Responsibilities

• Risk Reviews & Loss Estimates : Apply your engineering expertise to assess complex risks in heavy industries and power generation. Deliver insightful loss estimates and actionable recommendations that shape underwriting decisions and protect our clients' interests.
• Loss Prevention : Advise on state-of-the‑art loss prevention strategies, conduct on‑site risk surveys, and provide technical guidance to both clients and internal teams. Your work will directly enhance the safety and resilience of major projects.
• Collaborate & Influence : Work closely with underwriters, claims and natural perils specialists. Foster relationships with industry experts and represent Helvetia at conferences, client meetings, and industry events.
• Innovate & Educate : Develop and apply advanced scientific and technical methods for risk assessment. Share your knowledge by coaching new team members, writing expert analyses, and presenting at industry forums.
• Drive Excellence : Apply the highest standards in risk engineering, ensuring quality assurance and continuous improvement in all activities.

Qualifications

• You hold a degree in electrical, mechanical, or process engineering, and bring proven hands‑on engineering experience‑if you've worked on construction projects, that's a great bonus.
• You're passionate about loss prevention, with a solid understanding of fire protection and process safety management, and you're ready to apply your expertise in a dynamic environment.
• You thrive in a team, manage projects with confidence, and embrace continuous learning and professional growth.
