The selected candidate will lead the design, collaborate with engineering teams, and prepare necessary technical documentation to facilitate effective operation and knowledge sharing.

• Lead the design of Solid-State Power Amplifiers with calculations and simulations.

Jobbeschreibung

You will engage in the development of RF amplifier systems, which power RF resonators for particle beam acceleration. The objective is to replace ageing tube electronics with solid-state technology in line with beam requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the design of Solid-State Power Amplifiers, including calculations, simulations, component selection, layout definition and PCB design, as well as RF system and component modelling and characterisation through planned measurements.
• Define manufacturing methods, specifications and acceptance criteria, and provide progress reporting and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams for prototyping, testing and diagnostics, and oversee the operation, maintenance, repair and upgrade of existing RF equipment.
• Support beam-based measurements, analyse equipment performance and ensure compliance with all safety procedures.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and other documentation, contributing to effective knowledge sharing.
