Zusammenfassung

Jobup in Switzerland is seeking an Agricultural Sector Manager to act as on-site operational representative for agricultural activities and crop development. You will organize and coordinate daily work, monitor data, manage mechanisation, and collaborate with Flavien Cordey.

You will lead field teams, coordinate third-party services, plan phytosanitary treatments and harvests, and contribute to inspections and data sharing with partners and authorities.

Agricultural Sector Manager

In this central role within the farm, you will work closely with Flavien Cordey and act as his operational representative on the ground. You will participate in the daily organisation of agricultural activities, coordinate work and teams, and actively contribute to the monitoring and development of crops.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Team and Work Management

• Organise and coordinate agricultural work, third-party services and mechanisation needs
• Ensure operational monitoring of teams and intervene in managing daily issues
• Ensure efficient use of resources and smooth progress of work

Crop Management

• Monitor data and activities by plot
• Participate in crop planning and land management
• Organise various tasks: phytosanitary treatments, fertilisation, mechanisation and harvesting
• Manage plant orders and anticipate climatic risks
• Participate in research and development of new crops

Monitoring and Coordination

• Participate in the preparation of Bio and SwissGAP inspections and ensure follow-up of agricultural files
• Coordinate and transmit crop data to various partners and relevant organisations
• Engage in technical exchanges with producers and industry stakeholders

Mechanised Work

• Actively participate in the farm's mechanised work: land preparation, flail mowing and other agricultural tasks
• Carry out work for third parties and participate in snow clearance
• Perform other mechanical tasks necessary for the smooth running of the farm

YOUR PROFILE

• Training in the agricultural field or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience in the agricultural sector, ideally with organisational or coordination responsibilities
• Very good knowledge of crops and agricultural work
• Excellent proficiency with agricultural machinery
• Ability to organise, coordinate and support a team on the ground
• Comfortable with IT tools and data monitoring
• Good anticipation and decision-making skills
• Autonomous, versatile, pragmatic and solution-oriented personality
• Flexibility and availability according to agricultural activity periods
