Regional Transport Bern-Solothurn (RBS) is seeking a Head of Purchasing and Logistics to actively shape procurement processes, standards, and structures in a newly created leadership role with high visibility. You will build strategic product groups, advise departments, and drive economical and legally compliant procurement.

You bring a university-level degree in business, at least three years of leadership experience, and solid SAP/ERP experience to lead central purchasing and supplier

Qualifikationen

• Higher education at FH, HF, or university level, preferably in business administration, purchasing, logistics, or a comparable field.
• Solid experience in strategic purchasing and public procurement law (BöB, VöB, IVöB).
• At least three years of leadership experience with a modern, appreciative leadership style.
• Solid experience in handling purchasing processes in SAP or a comparable ERP system.

On road and rail, we transport over 23 million passengers annually. Around 570 employees ensure every day, through various meaningful and varied activities, that our passengers reach their destination safely, punctually, and relaxed. Together, we make a significant contribution to the development of sustainable mobility in the region.

As part of the further development of our procurement organisation, we are rebuilding the purchasing organisation at RBS. In this newly created role as Head of Purchasing and Logistics, you actively shape processes, standards, and structures and make a significant contribution to professional, economical, and legally compliant procurement.

Your Tasks

• You actively help build the purchasing organisation and logistics at RBS and further develop processes, standards, and governance structures.
• You develop and manage strategic product groups.
• You advise and support the specialist departments in procurement projects and act as a competent business partner.
• You identify synergies and bundling potentials and ensure economical and legally compliant procurement.
• You negotiate commercial and contractual framework conditions with suppliers and external partners.

• You lead the central purchasers in personnel matters and the purchasers in the specialist departments professionally.

Your Profile

• You have a higher education at FH, HF, or university level, preferably in business administration, purchasing, logistics, or a comparable field.
• You bring solid experience in strategic purchasing as well as in public procurement law (BöB, VöB, IVöB).
• You have at least three years of leadership experience and impress with a modern, appreciative leadership style.
• You bring solid experience in handling purchasing processes in SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• You convince with an analytical and structured way of working, high initiative, and solution-oriented action.
